Cuatro Torres Business Area Madrid

As most of you may know by now, Kaymanta's main headquarters are in Madrid, Spain. So it's only fair that we start sharing some of the things that inspires us the most about this city.

Madrid, as many European cities, is known for preserving a lot of cultural and historic buildings and for maintaining that renaissance architecture vibe throughout the years. But that doesn't mean every building is old or boring...

Spain's capital is a very touristic destination and one spot that stands out is where the city's tallest skyscrapers are. Known as the "Cuatro Torres" (literally four towers), these buildings are located in a business district that used to be Real Madrid's sports complex and are tallest skyscrapers in Spain, and some of the highest in the European Union.

The Torre Espacio, Torre de Cristal, Torre PwC and Torre Cepsa were finished in 2008 and there's actually a fifth one under construction right now (2020-21) but not as tall as the other four.

They were designed by known architects like the Argentinian Cesar Pelli, the Spanish Carlos Rubio Carvajal and Enrique Álvarez-Sala, the American Henry Nichols Cobb and the great British architect Norman Foster.

Each one with its own style, they stand out not only for their magnificent height but also for their modern designs. Concrete and glass are the materials of choice for most of these skyscrapers, giving them that futuristic look that makes them stand out.

An icon in the city's skyline, they're definitely a must-see if you are visiting of live in Madrid. Hope you like them as much as we do!
